CLAIMS CLASSIFIER
(release date: Q1 2021)

An AI-based application that predicts the probability for rejection of a claim by an examiner during prosecution, allowing patent professionals to submit claims to the patent office that are most likely to be allowed by the examiner. If a rejection is predicted, the Claims Classifier provides the type of rejection (e.g., 101, 102, 103, 112) and the reason why the claim is predicted to have such a rejection. Know More

CLAIMS CLASSIFIER

A MORE DETAILED LOOK

More features will be added to the Claims Classifier, such as, a search feature and predictions based on the examiner (akin to predicting what the particular examiner is thinking), technology group, and other various filters. When the detailed description field is added, the Claims Classifier will be able to find similar language from the predicted, rejected claim in the detailed description and either highlight the area in the detailed description that contains the rejected claim language to help the patent professional find language to overcome the rejection and/or provide a suggestion from the language in that area in the detailed description that can be used by the patent professional to amend the claim to overcome the predicted rejection. As development continues, the Claims Classifier will be able to show the patent professional a predetermined number of patent applications that contain claims similar to the input claim.
